Post-silicon RF Cellular Features Verification Engineer, Munich, DE

Position Available

We need a passionate RF Systems Engineer for post-silicon testing to join a team of bright engineers with a "can do" spirit to debug, validate, and test the RF sub-system of a world-class cellular modem solution. The candidate is expected to bring passion, technical expertise, and strong execution into the RF TX Systems Validation team.


Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited To


  • Testing RF Cellular features to ensure readiness for platform integration and test campaigns

  • RF Regression feature testing for transceiver, RF engine and platform

  • Verification of RF subsystems for cellular applications 2G, 3G, LTE and 5G

  • Definition and Programming of necessary test-cases and test-vectors as well as reviewing the test plans

  • Definition of measurement setup for specific test campaigns

  • Close cooperation with tooling experts

  • Core responsibility for consistent regression testing

  • Test-verdicts according to the system-requirements including test-case database updates

  • Analysis of test date with compliance check

  • Feedback to the design team

  • Enhancement of feature testing capability for new solutions


Qualifications


We're seeking RF-engineers with solid background in cellular RF with special knowledge in TX / RX architecture, the relevant system and test-specifications, and hands-on experience with test-equipment typically used in that environment. Experience with programming test-scripts for test-automation is highly desired. The candidate shall be capable to work autonomously and self-motivated after a short training period on Intel specific tools and processes. A highly structured working-style paired with excellent documentation skills is mandatory. The candidate shall be a proven positive thinker and a team player with the ability to communicate in an international multi-site environment.


Required Experience


  • Solid proven RF experience

  • Strong knowledge of 3GPP standard 2G/3G/4G

  • Hands-on experience with RF-Test equipment

  • Experience in test automation

  • Test case planning and tracking

  • RF HW System Integration / validation with FW

  • Good knowledge in MATLAB / C++ or C

Being part of the Service Group, its responsibility is the development of debuggers and embedded software development products being optimized. These debuggers and products are used to create applications for the next generation of internet of things IOT, mobile phones, tablets, embedded devices, desktop computers and servers in conjunction with multiple platforms and operating systems. We are searching for an SW test and validation engineer with Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. As member of the Systems Integration Team you will be responsible for test system development and test system automation. You strive for high test coverage in order to deliver stable and reliable SW tools to our customers and users. Besides programming skills, you need experience in working with different operating systems like Windows and Linux and its different distributions. RF Component Verification Engineer - Transmitter

The RF Transceiver Research & Development department is in search for a self-motivated engineer for the post silicon component verification team. The focus of the candidate lies in validation of the transmit path TX for Intel's latest integrated RF cellular transceiver generation 5G/LTE & legacy standards used for smart phones and tablets. Validation of such complex products requires talent and passion for accurate execution. In a close co-operation with the system and design engineers the targeted quality of the product must be ensured in the laboratory.


What You’ll Do


  • Understanding of TX RF transceiver specifications

  • Development & execution of post silicon verification test plans in teamwork in order to meet team goals and resolve problems timely

  • Support preparation of the complete test suite RF measurement setup, chip control, PCB design, ...

  • Programming automated test cases for characterization & optimization of TX performance parameters. Judging according specification

  • Analyze & root cause identification for issues encountered during tests. In the following elaborating ideas in team for possible HW/SW solutions or workarounds
